Where fashion is made before it ever reaches the runway.
This time at Munich Fashion Week, we're not showing finished collections — we're opening our studio doors. For six hours, AMD Akademie Mode & Design in Schwabing offers a look behind the scenes: into studios, workrooms, and the work of our students.
Because before an outfit can be admired on the runway, a long creative process comes first: from the initial idea through moodboards, material research and draping to the final execution.AMD Behind the Scenes is where you can follow that whole route.
The heart of the day is three hands-on workshops, run by our students themselves. They pass on their craft, and their enthusiasm for what fashion really involves.Places are limited: 40 for the design process, 20 each for draping and lavender printing.Signing up early pays off.
And if you'd rather not join a workshop, you're just as welcome: come by, look around, take it in.AMD Behind the Scenes is open to everyone.
